Sivam Academy's major objective is to provide systematic and thorough knowledge in South Indian Classical dance forms, particularly Bharathanatyam, Mohiniyattom and Kuchippudi. We believe in the authenticity of traditionally evolved arts and hope to stage performances in pure original style. Irrespective of age, gender and cultural differences, we hope to shape a new generation of enthusiastic artists who have imbibed artistic culture and are highly aware of the various dimensions of Indian arts.

Dance is a science as much as it is an art. The trifold duties of any dedicated artist - Learning, Performing and Teaching should be uncompromised for its development. Our courses and teaching are intended to stimulate inquisitiveness in dancers into the theories and practices as laid down by sage Bharatha in his work - The Natyasasthra.

Our teaching approach will be one that exposes the learner to the experience of pure art as well as encourage creative interpretation of the established theories.

With these aims, we have joined hands with the Kalai Kaviri College of Fine Arts and the Bharathidasan University to conduct courses - Diploma in Bharathanatyam, Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) and Master of Fine Arts (MFA) for the students and art enthusiasts of Singapore.
